Goutal Paris

Niche · France · est. 1981

Founded in 1981 by former model and pianist Annick Goutal, the house built its reputation on naturalistic, poetic compositions using rare raw materials, beginning with Eau d'Hadrien, inspired by Marguerite Yourcenar's 'Memoirs of Hadrian.' Isabelle Doyen joined as co-perfumer and, after Annick's death in 1999, continued the house's work alongside Annick's daughter Camille Goutal. In 2017–2018, under parent company Amorepacific, the brand was renamed Goutal Paris to reflect Camille's stewardship while retaining its heritage of literary, garden-inspired storytelling in scent.
