Founded in 1896 by Alfred Van Cleef and Estelle Arpels and established at 22 Place Vendôme in Paris in 1906, Van Cleef & Arpels is a storied French high jewellery maison known for its poetic, nature-inspired designs. Its 1976 debut fragrance, First, composed by Jean-Claude Ellena, was among the earliest perfumes launched by a jeweller and remains a landmark floral aldehyde.
