Founded by couturier Pierre Balmain in 1945, the Parisian fashion house built a parallel legacy in perfumery through legendary noses like Germaine Cellier, whose Vent Vert and Jolie Madame remain touchstones of 20th-century perfumery. Today the fragrance line is run as Balmain Beauty under Estée Lauder, pairing archival reissues with the all-gender Les Éternels de Balmain collection helmed by creative director Olivier Rousteing.
