The Catholicism entry in the five-scent Series 3 Incense collection, Avignon was named for the seat of the medieval papacy and built by Bertrand Duchaufour around a warm, resinous church-incense accord of myrrh and olibanum. Its soft aldehydic opening gives way to a sweet, mossy amber base meant to evoke candlelit cathedral air.
