Released in 2017, Molecule 04 is composed purely of Javanol, a hyper-radiant synthetic sandalwood molecule developed by Givaudan in 1996 that delivers a creamy, woody effect at far lower concentrations than natural sandalwood oil. It marked the first new Molecule release since Molecule 03 in 2010, extending the line's single-ingredient concept into a fresh interpretation of sandalwood.
