Inspired by the textured smell of falconry gloves, the fragrance is built on Finnish birch tar — a vegetal leather note — to evoke both the grainy roughness and smooth suede-like sides of worked leather. Fragrantica classifies it as an Oriental fragrance; an Extrait de Parfum version followed in 2024.

Aurelien Guichard is a Grasse-born perfumer and son of perfumer Jean Guichard, who trained at the Givaudan school and has worked across Givaudan, Firmenich and Takasago.
